Philip Edward Latko

December 19, 1959 - May 19, 2022

After a hard-fought battle with cancer, Philip Edward Latko, age 62, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2022. He was attended by close family and friends during his last days on hospice care. Philip was born in Bayonne, NJ on December 19th 1959, he was known lovingly as Phil. He was a man who loved being outdoors and creating things with his hands, working as a carpenter for 40+ years fulfilled this passion. Phil was everyone's go to guy and was always there to help family and friends with everything from stopping by to cheer someone up with coffee in hand and a smile on his face, to shoveling their driveway in deep winter, and to offering his skilled hands on carpentry projects. During his free time he enjoyed working on cars and jamming out to classic rock. Being known as a kind, gentle soul, taking in and adopting strays from the neighborhood, it was funny to know that he also loved watching horror movies. Phil is survived by his parents Jeanne and Ed, his devoted sisters Yvette and Stacy, his nephew Ian, his grandson Bentley, and proved himself to be a wonderful and dedicated father to his 3 children Phil Jr., Cody, and Madison. Phil was a loving father, always putting his children before himself, caring for their every need. He was a generous, smart, and kind father, full of smiles and laughter, and always doing great deeds. Nothing can replace the friendship, care, and love he shared with us all and although Phil has left devoted family and friends behind, he will always be in their hearts and minds for the rest of their lives. Until we see you again, love you Phil, love you Dad. The family would especially like to thank the staff of Vitas Hospice at Nazareth Hospital for their constant, attentive care.
