April 20, 1955 - February 12, 2022
Gail Jeanne Crooke, 66, of Perkasie, PA, entered into her eternal life February 12th, 2022, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was preceeded in death by her husband James and father, Delbert Stanley, and survived by her mother, Martha Ann Rhoades, and 5 siblings. Gail was born to Delbert and Martha Ann Stanley of White Heath, Illinois on April 20th, 1955. She grew up an Illinois farm girl, where she attended Monicello High School and went on to graduate from Eastern Illinois University. Gail touched so many along her life's journey, starting with her career as an extension agent and 4-H leader in Clark County Illinois. She made many friendships while participating in the International Farm Youth Exchange (IFYE). Her dear friend Annette Crooke, also an IFYE from Pennsylvania, introduced her to a local farmer, who soon became the love of her life. Jim and Gail were married March 12th, 1983. Gail was the mother of Nathan (Erica), Jacob (Sarah), and Natalie (Randy Grasse). In addition, she was the loving grammy and meena to Caroline, Madison, Joel, Micah and Clayton. Jim and Gail worked hard to start a successful farm business in Bucks county, known as Windybush Hay Farms. Gail had many talents and skills (invaluable to farm life). She enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening, cooking, sheep rearing, and hay raking, among many others. Time spent away from the farm was usually a camping trip or visiting family and friends at home in Illinois. She also enjoyed history, especially the WWII era because of her fathers time serving in the United States Coast Guard. For many years Gail served as principal and teacher at Quakertown Christain Preschool. She was a Sunday school teacher and served the Lord in many areas through Hilltown Baptist Church. She gave generously of her time and resources to help those in need, and supported many missionaries. A celebration of life service will be held at Hilltown Baptist Church, Saturday March 26th, at 3 p.m., following calling hours at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made in Gails honor to Hilltown Baptist Church.
