Daniel J. Gower Sr.

Daniel J Gower Sr, age 72 of Collegeville, passed away Thursday February 10th 2022. Dan served in the U.S. Army from October 1967 to October 1970. Dan served in Vietnam from December 1968 to December 1969 with Company D, 701st Maintenance Battalion, 1st Infantry Division. Dan earned the Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Metal; Army Commendation Medal; Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle). Dan primarily worked as a mason after returning from Vietnam at the family business, John H. Gower Masonry in Horsham as well as for himself throughout his life. Dan loved yard sales, music, deer hunting, his desserts, his family, sharing funny stories and his one liners. He loved his friends especially Steve, Harry, Kim and Bud. In addition to his mother Elsie (Wildrick) Gower of Gilbert, he is survived by 2 children daughter Denise Smith and her husband Tim and 1 grandson Joshua Smith. Son Daniel Gower Jr and his wife Joslyn and 2 grandsons Christian and Caleb. Two step grand children TJ and wife Sarah, Step grand daughter Jackie and husband Nate and three step great grandchildren, Levi, Meara and Isabelle. Preceded in death by father John H. Gower and two brothers Craig N. Gower and Clark M Gower. Dan is survived by 7 siblings, Nielene Bogansky of Hazleton, Timothy Gower and his wife Patricia of FL., John H Gower Sr and his wife Debra of Bangor, Sister in Law Franca Gower of Horsham, Linda Swan and her husband Robert of Hatboro, Brenda Glessner and her husband William of Warrington, Michael Gower of Jamison and Sally Landis of Hatboro as well as a long list of nieces and nephews. In liew of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project c/o Daniel J. Gower Sr. Daniel will be buried at Washington Crossing National Cemetery Upper Makefield Township Bucks County on March 18th, 2022 at 11:30 AM.
